(RIPON) – The Ripon Finance and Governmental Affairs Committee will discuss a proposed ordinance dealing with adult oriented businesses when it meets tonight (MON) at 630 in City Hall. Last fall, the Plan Commission discussed the ordinance following the opening of the Mansion on Main, an adult entertainment club in Downtown Ripon. The commission looked at other municipal ordinances, including one from Berlin, before deciding the issue should go to the Finance Committee. City administrator Steve Barg said Friday he believes the city needs such an ordinance, and, based on the fact 1-thousand people signed a petition against the Mansion last fall, so do many others in Ripon.
